Madison Zoo Adventure

Our adventure actually started at the candy store by Ho Chunk Casino so Grandma could buy some sugar free candy. In the learning center we saw lots of things, the creepiest for Grandma were the hissing cockroaches, yuk. Megan posed in with the ostrich.

We saw a grizzly bear swimming and this one sitting on the rocks.

Megan is the size of a small polar bear cub.
This parrot posed right above Megan's head.
These tropical fish were as big as Megan's head.

At one point a lady saw my shirt and asked me if my son were in the military. When I answered he was at Ft. Benning, GA. She wanted to know if he had been to Iraq. I said twice and she shook my hand and said thank you and tell your son Thank You. So ARTHUR, THANK YOU FOR KEEPING US FREE.

This tiger got very close to the glass. Thank goodness for glass.

This peacock was trying hard to impress, but his sweetheart just kept eating and ignoring.

At the end we fed the goats. They went through several cones of food. This little pig had just finished Megan's and wanted more.
We had fun. We took a picnic lunch. Ashley brought her friend Emily Mooney.
I had the day off and Mary had the week off.
