The Circus is in town

Megan and I got to go to the school's family dance tonight. They have one every year. It is put on by the PSN (same thing as a PTA). It was a lot of fun. Admission was a non-perishable food item that they will give to the Adams food pantry. This year the dance was "Under the big top". The DJ even dressed up like a clown. Megan's favorite part was the cotton candy and at $.50 a bag it was a good deal!!! She had two bags and we brought one home for tomorrow:-) Can we say SUGAR RUSH!!!

Mary and Rebecca celebrate 33 years of bliss Ashley 14

We had a great BD party on the 24th. We not only had the traditional lasagna but also grandpa made his famous Spanish Rice. Eva made a sugar free Jello cake and Mary made a decadent chocolate brownie cheese cake which Ashley assured me has about 100 calories a bite. When Mary gives me the recipe I will get it to you. Here are just a few of the pictures that were taken.

Virtual reality sports

Ashley was playing when a girl came down and hit her in the eye. What a neat 14th BD present. The girl wasn't even penalized but Ashley has a pretty good shiner to sport around for the next few days.

Art is excellent student

Art has been chosen again as an outstanding student in his school. It is similar to being on the honor roll. We are all proud of him.

Marlee is really growing, Sonny is doing well, and AJ doesn't start his Drill Sgt. duties until probably July.

Mary Lou wants to celebrate

Hi Everyone,
I want to have a half-birthday party for Mom on June 27th. Because her birthday is on Christmas, I rarely get to celebrate it with her. Please let your kids know to pencil in this date (I do not have everyone's email). I plan on inviting Fosters, Fagans and any friends that I think would like to come.

Love,
Mary Lou

Girl Scout Cookies

Megan is selling Girl Scout cookies right now. They are $3.50 a box this year. She will be bringing her order sheet to mama and daddy's house on the 24th for the Jan. birthday party. If you want to buy any that would be GREAT. If you are not going to be there let me know and I can put you down for what and how many you might want or NEED. We will be collecting the money with the orders. She has made a personal goal to herself to try and sell 200 box's this year. With every ones help I hope she can make it.

Marks new toy

Mark got himself a new toy yesterday. We traded in the red truck and got a new 2009 four door full size one and a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero with 46,000 miles for me to drive around town. It's a nice car I like it. It is just like the the Buick that we use to have.
Then today at church I was called to be in the young woman's presidency. Ashley will now have mama and me in with her. LUCKY!!!!! It will be fun. I have had most of the girls in primary with me through the years so I love them aready.

the first

Well, as I just finished up my blog's post (read it if you haven't, you'll appreciate the irony) Ria comes into my bedroom with no diaper on. I asked her where it was- she points it out and them points to her bum. I asked if she needed to go potty, she nods her head and I escort her to the toilet. SHE DID IT!!! HER FIRST TIME!! At least her first where she initiated it! I would love to not have to buy anymore diapers soon- can I just say?

She's alive

Just so you know, Eva did call and she is now off the hook. Your free pass to smack her has now been expired. Back when I was in Wis. Crystal sent these to me that she took of Ria @ 18 months and since my comp. was down for so long I didn't have access to them, and then kinda forgot about them. But aren't they cute?
I was going to order some prints to hand out. Which do you like the best? I'll do a survey and that will determine where I lean. Didn't Crystal do a good job? I wasn't even there. She was watching her for me, we had been planning to do it sometime, and she surprised me with getting it all done. She borrowed Ebie's dress and did her hair and everything. She's awesome!

presents

I just mailed out Becca and Ashley's presents today so they should be there in a couple of days. Moma can you please wrap them for me. Thanks!
Does anyone know if Eva is alive? If she is smack her for me for ignoring me and my calls. Grrr to you Eva- dropping me like I'm a bad friend from high school or something! Rude!
I love you all. Party hardy this weekend!

Davey eating eggs

Rebecca got a fancy camera for Christmas. As she is telling about it Mark takes a video of little Davey eating the rest of Mary's scrambled eggs. He does try to smile though. What a ham.

A Few Other Pics

Jonaton Javier Blessed

We were able to assemble to gether for the blessing of grandchild 15 in Baraboo, WI. It was a wonderful day as David blessed Jonny and then we assembled to eat at the Martinez household. Grandma Foster was able to be with her oldest great grandchild Ashley and her youngest Jonny. There were 4 generations. Those in the Priesthood Blessing were David, Art, Charley, Bishop Duane Hanusa and his counselor Robe Fullmer a former member of the Adams-Friendship ward.

From Brittanys Blog-Read the rest it was great

Christmas was wonderful. My parents spoiled us and got us a Wii!!! You can guess what we did for the rest of vacation. It's a lot of fun. I'm actually not much of a gamer but I love playing the Wii.Christmas break also brought our 2 year anniversary. Since we're poor we couldn't do much, but we did go out to dinner and stayed at a motel. It was nice to just spend time by ourselves.

Thank you Mary

THANK YOU MARY!!! She came over and spent two days at my house helping me paint both of my bath rooms. I went with white for the ceiling and Faraway blue for the walls (just another name for light blue:) It looks very nice if I do say so myself, and I do!!

Wisconsin winter fun

Mark spinning on the ice

The Schaetzka Family went out with the Boggs Family for some good old Wisconsin winter fun. We went down to Friendship lake on the four wheelers. It was a lot of fun but verrrrrrrrrrry cold. Then we went out by the shop and did some more four wheeling. It was good to come home to a warm house.

Eva Does it

Eva texted that she had just checked her grades for her first semester and had received a 4.0 which means she had strait A's. Everyone is proud of her as it is a great accomplishment. She did flying colors on her math that scarred her at the beginning. Another accomplishment that might not seem so big for most of us is that Eva took her first airplane ride in about 10 years, and she was even alone. She hates enclosed places, man made machines, and heights. She talked to Mary on the phone and was not in hysteria enough to send everyone else there. There was a 13 year old boy that at times had the same expression that Ashley had when Eva freaked out at the St. Louis Arch. CONGRATULATIONS ON BOTH ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
