Eva turns 29 for the 7th time

Eva celebrated her 29th birthday again (for the 7th time) She was born in 1974, so you figure it out. She is loving school and is so busy she hardly has time to sleep. She has a part time job as and ITech. She is taking the equivilent of 16 or 17 credits, plus does kid ranch and gives tours. She is off the road though, so she is happy. Eva insisted on making the chicken and Alfredo sauce with spaghetti, sugar free salad, and jello cake. Mama made an angel food cake and cinnamon rolls. Rebecca brought pull apart garlic bread. As you can well imagine this is another meal where we all starved to death.Green is Eva's favorite color.

Charley went to see Dr. Sankran the other day. He pinched an inch Charley's tummy and tells him he needs to loose some of that.

The cousins love getting together.

Thanks to Amanda and David for opening their home and giving us some of their tomatoes and onions.

Megan's Field Trip

Megan and her class went on a field trip today in Westfield. Megan's Aunt Missy lives in Westfield so she was nice enough to chaperon for me. (Thanks Missy for chaperoning and for the photos!!) The field trip was about pioneer days and all the things they did in the good old days. This is Megan smiling poking the pig at the petting zoo.
Megan hauling water with a yoke.

Red Belt Test

Megan tested for her RED BELT tonight. She did really good. It was a hard test for her she was very nervous about her two board breaks, but did awesome on them!! Next test will be even harder because it will be for her temporary black belt. It's crazy to think that soon Megan will be a black belt.
This is a picture of Megan with her class.

This is one of her board breaks. It is the "Turn back side kick". She has three boards that she is breaking through. The 1st time she kicks you can here them crack because she broke the one in the middle, but not the 1st or last one........I kind of thought that was pretty cool.

This is her doing the "Spin hook kick" with one board.

Megan getting her LAST color belt certificate;-)

Apples, Apples & more Apples

I AM APPLE SAUCED OUT!!! ;-)
Amanda and her kids came over on Saturday to make apple sauce with us. It was a lot of fun and made the work easier with someone to talk too as you worked. It only took us 4 1/2 hours working as a team.
Then on Tuesday I went out to Aunt Marylou's house and picked 1/2 the apples on her tree. (The other 1/2 is for Bill) Sooooooo needless to say I have a lot of apple sauce. That is a good thing seeing I babysit for two two-year old and a almost 10 month old. The apples that Megan is holding came from 1 of our trees.

Note from Sonny

Well I'm starting my third month here at my new job and I love it! They are giving me a raise and everything because I've done so well. Little Art is loving being in Second Grade. His cursive writing is getting quite good. He is memorizing his bible verses with ease. Little Marlee is standing and walking along furniture now. She is 9 1/2 months. She can also say mama and dada. I can't believe how much she has grown. AJ will be home this weekend thru Labor Day. He is excited to be coming home for a quick visit before he heads back to South Carolina for school. He graduates on the 24th, just in time for his Birthday Celebration. Me and the kids will be driving up for the graduation. All and all we aren't doing too bad. We miss you all so very much and wish that we could visit more. You'd think it's be easier now that we are so close, but our work and school schedules are so crazy. Hope all is well with you and Dad. Love you all! Sonny

Musical performances

Mark your calendars for April 29, 2010. That is the day that Third (Megan), Fourth, and Fifth Graders will be having there Spring Concert - Play. I don't have a time yet but will let you all know when I do;-)

Sonny's pics

Rebecca is the only one posting lately and since not everyone has facebook, I downloaded these from Sonny's site. Arthur is away at Drill Sgt. school and Sonny is now working at Art's school, so they get a discount and have the same hours. Such good looking kids.

My 3rd grader

Today was Megan's 1st day back to school. I can't believe that she is a 3rd grader already!! How did that happen someone please tell me;-) We got her off to school on time and the morning went really good. So I thought something has to go wrong my life doesn't move this smooth then I let her start to ride the bus home from school this year (BIG step for me I know) so I thought that they would put her on the wrong bus......but that went good also. She got home a little late but it's the 1st day and I kind of thought she would. So I thought this is going to be a good day......then I got the homework out and that's when the day took a turn I knew it was to good to be true! Why do they have to have homework on the 1st day of school? WHY??
Ashley I hope High School was all you hoped it would be!!!
