Grandma celebrates 87 and 1/2

We had lots of fun at Grandma's half birthday. There were lots of friends from Wautoma area. She enjoyed visiting with old neighbors, her nieces and nephews, sister and sister-in-laws that came. It was good to see Fred and Sharon and most of their kids. Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Charley Adams made it a special day with decorations and wonderful food. Rebecca made Grandma's favorite Angle food cake, Daddy made Grandma's baked beans, and his famous Macaroni Salad. Mary made her wonderful deviled eggs. Uncle Charley Foster brought fish he had smoked and smoked trout that the girls didn't put out at first because it still had the head on it. Charley found it and brought it out. It was good. The kids had fun on the swings and in the sand pile. For entertainment, Trinity (Michelle's daughter) played the violin. Then Uncle Fred got out the guitar and we all sang some of the old songs. It was so good to see everyone. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Strawberry Time in Wisconsin

Strawberry season makes us all a little crazy forthe sweet fruit which gets turned into Jam, frozen or stuffed in fresh. We never seem to get enough. The Boggs family and Bartons went with us. Isabella has lost her 2 front teeth. Jonny I think found them as he has two on the bottom. We all had fun and it was beautiful weather.

I Spy

I spy with my little eye 7 toads and 1 green tree frog. Can you find them all? With the leaves in there it is good camouflage.

Megan is growing up

Megan is starting to grow up on me and wanting to do more things for herself. Because she is almost 8 years old!! Or so I've been told about 100 times in the last 3 months by her. So I have started to let her pick out her own outfits even if I don't think that they look good together, and if she wants a bath or a shower stuff like that. Today she wanted to pick out her own dress for church so I told her that she could do that. Then she told me that she wanted to do her own hair I told her she could do that also because when she does her own hair it is always just picking out a head band that she thinks looks nice and shes done. You can tell by looking at the pictures I have put on that didn't happen this time. She worked VERY hard to make it look that pretty. So that is how she went to church. Thankfully no one laughed at her or anything;-)

When she took them out to take her shower she counted. There was 21 of them in her hair. Why do I have or need 21??

Megans brown belt test

Megan tested for her brown belt in Tae Kwon Do today. And got it!! She did very well. Aunt Mary Lou was nice enough to take time out of her day to come and see Megan test. (She called me this morning and asked me if she could come and see Megan today and I thought that she meant to babysit or visit or something soooo I told her NO that we had Megan's testing to go to at 9:00 and she told me that she wanted to go and that is what she meant. To funny. I'm such a dork ;-) After testing was done we went to the park and had a summer picnic with some of the families in Tae Kwon Do. It was a lot of fun and GOOD FOOD!

This is a video of Megan getting her Brown belt and Certificate.

Spending the day as tourists in the Dells

We had a great time playing tourist. We started out with the Duck ride. I ended up sitting in the front by the driver which was great until we went over the hills and started down. We went to the Bartlett Exploratory and Robot world, the Family fun center at Pirates cove, ate at Culver's (it wouldn't be a family gathering with out food),Ripley's Believe it or not, and the Tommy Bartlet Water show. At the exploratory Adrian played a game and got the highest points ever recorded. Brittany let her hair go wild on the machine with the static. Ashley loved being everywhere. Mary Jo sat in the vibrating machine and could hardly hang on. Amanda and David joined us after Isabella was through with school and we played on the giant air pillow like a trampoline. We also enjoyed the peddle trikes. All in all it was a great day for all. Some of us took a walk along the river. It was very peaceful.

Tried to hook Ashley up with this good lookin guy but she didn't seem interested.
